Contracting With Us

Let the NAHB Research Center serve as your housing technical services provider under the MOBIS (Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services) schedule. The Research Center is approved by GSA to perform contractual services for government agencies under MOBIS across a broad spectrum of GSA categories (consulting services, facilitation services, survey services, privatization services, and program integration and project management services). Military Housing

• Housing Master Planning - We provide the entire team to study housing issues at military installations. Working with installation personnel we develop alternative approaches to solving all housing problems, including planning and scheduling all new and replacement construction, Whole Neighborhood Revitalization of existing houses and infrastructure, and development of an Installation Housing Master Plan of the approved long term solution.
• Housing Condition Assessment - We inspect a sample of family housing units and develop a report of all discrepancies in the housing, estimate the cost to bring all housing into compliance with standards, schedule the construction into practical phases, and prepare the 1391 programming documents to support the budget.
• Housing Market Analysis - We conduct approved Housing Market Analyses of the availability and adequacy of private sector housing in the local community surrounding military installations to determine the need for government owned houses.
• Privatization Planning - We conduct privatization training and workshops to plan the potential scope of a privatization project. We prepare models that predict developer cash flows, predict scoring amounts, and determine a government scope and estimate for an upcoming privatization project.
• General Studies and Assistance - We provide other specialized studies and assistance to military family housing organizations including Headquarters, Major Commands, and Installations, on an as-needed basis.

Other Housing Services

• Meeting/Conference Facilitation - We regularly plan government and industry symposia to assist the government in its program planning. We provide a variety of problem solving techniques and arrange all logistical details of conference planning.
• Cycle Time Improvement and High Performance Work - We are available to assist the government in applying specialized methodologies to assess baseline performance and apply specific techniques to improve cycle time and assess the degree of organizational change.
• Process and Productivity Improvement - We are recognized for our contributions to quality improvement at all levels and have developed major recognition programs for the delivery of quality services.
• Planning and Implementing Survey Design - We perform full service survey planning and implementation services for government clients. These services include survey design, defining and refining the agenda, determining data collection methodology, administering surveys, assessing reliability and validity of data, analysis of quantitative qualitative survey data, team training and analyses of survey results.
• Program Implementation and Project Management - We regularly assist clients in program management activities including providing key staff to serve as Team Leaders for Program Implementation activities or as project managers for specific assignments.
