Development of Frost Depth Maps for the United States

This report completes a study of U.S. frost depths. It includes the development of a predictive model using comprehensive snow and temperature climate data and investigates sensitivities of soil type and moisture content. Several frost depth contour maps are included that provide estimates of extreme frost depths for various return periods at U.S. locations.
