The NAHB Research Center realizes the issues and challenges that builders, remodelers, and trade contractors confront. In fact, the Research Center is also a licensed builder – we are able to put our research results to the test in real-world conditions by building and testing homes in the NAHB National Research Home Park located near our headquarters in Maryland.

But we know our own building experiences are just a drop in the bucket compared to those of the trades and businesspeople working in the home building industry today. That’s why we regularly team with building professionals in a variety of projects to better understand the specific needs of our nation’s home builders. From conducting field evaluations on new and existing homes; to surveying builders' material purchases and product preferences; to helping to develop quality management programs specific to the residential construction industry; to presenting industry awards and promoting the efforts of builders who are the best of the best – the NAHB Research Center continues to forge unique ties to the builder community.
