Terre Belt
Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Terre Belt is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in strategic and financial planning, communications and outreach strategies and tasks, and the management of staff and other resources. As VP and COO, she is responsible for all internal operations of the Research Center, including management of the physical plant and grounds.
Prior to her current role, Belt served as the Research Center’s Director of Communications, in charge of corporate and program communications and public relations activities.
For 10 years before joining the Research Center, Belt served as Executive Director of a national environmental business trade association in Washington, DC. Prior to that her work experiences included directing a government affairs program at the National Association of Home Builders, serving as a writer/editor on Capitol Hill, and teaching journalism and technical writing classes at Colorado State University.
Belt earned her B.S. from Millersville State University and her M.A. from The American University.
